The TOGETHER project, implemented by ADRA Uganda, aims to enhance health-related rights for vulnerable populations in Cambodia, Kenya, the Philippines, and Uganda, focusing on children, adolescent girls and boys, and women and men in indigenous, remote, or resettlement settings. This multi-sectoral initiative empowers individuals and communities to advocate for improved sexual and reproductive health services and policies, educates youth to engage with their communities and governments, and trains educators to provide comprehensive sexuality education. Additionally, the project strengthens local health systems by improving health worker capacity and service coverage, including family planning and sexual gender-based violence (SGBV) prevention and care. Key activities include training on sexual and reproductive health, water, sanitation, hygiene, climate resilience, and life skills; support for health care staff and community volunteers; nutrition training for caregivers; and equipping health centers to provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care. The project incorporates innovative community-led monitoring and evaluation, with technical input from Salanga and support from the Hospital for Sick Children, to engage beneficiaries in addressing their health and socio-economic challenges.
