ADVERT FOR DRIVER (1 position)

 

Location: Kyaka11

Project: CEMS Hospital project

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Complete a mechanical checklist prior to each shift to ensure the vehichle is in working order and ready to transport staff to and from required locations, and report any mechanical issues to appropriate service personnel;
  • Complete a weekly check up in the operations vehicle and before long trips;
  • Ensure the vehichle is clean and stocked properly with first aid and medical supplies prior to each day.
  • Report accident or other emergency facts to medical personnel and/or law enforcement when necessary;
  • Complete appropriate log book sheets as required by employer to record officially each transport- mandatory for the vehicle operations;
  • Report facts concerning accidents or emergencies to hospital personnel or law enforcement officials.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the vehicle assigned to
  • Provide transportation of authorized personnel, and/or delivery of various items/commodities following authorized routing and ADRA safety and security rules and regulations to ensure safe and efficient services.
  • Meet official personnel and visitors at the airport or other entry points and provide basic assistance with visa and customs formalities to facilitate smooth and safe entry and arrival to the authorized destinations.
  • Responsible for accurate maintenance of the vehicle log books, and daily reporting to the supervisor on mechanical status, to ensure efficient vehicle use and fuel consumption supporting accurate accounting and cost-efficiency.
  • Responsible that the assigned vehicle is kept clean and in a good condition including all equipment, the maintenance is done on time, the vehicle is fully equipped with required travel authorizations and supplies, and any mechanical issues are reported to the supervisor to ensure safe and efficient services.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Follow established rules and regulations for field deliveries and/or in cases of an accident, and report immediately to the supervisor on any apparent problems, to seek instructions and facilitate informative decisions on the way forward.
  • Outside driving duties, perform basic office-related tasks such as filing, photocopying and maintaining stores when required including delivery/collection of various items, mailing service.

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of O’ level
  • Mechanical skills - Mandatory
  • 5 years’ experience as a driver with a reputable NGO- Mandatory
  • Ability to work in 8 hours shift and on call - Mandatory
  • Fluent in English - Mandatory - speaking, understanding and writing
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with people from different educational, linguistic, cultural and religious backgrounds
  • Valid driver’s license – Mandatory
  • From western Uganda-Mandatory

    Job Purpose  

     To provide day to day midwifery nursing care service to patients

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Key Outputs

    1. Patients received admissions, discharges and deaths registered.
    2. Patients prepared for meals.
    3. Care during labour provided
    4. Care during puerperium provided
    5. Mothers sensitized about benefits of breast feeding and recommended diet.
    6. Clean and health environment maintained.
    7. Bedside nursing procedures carried out
    8. Daily ward reports compiled and submitted
    9. Ante-natal care carried out.
    10. Doctors and Clinical Officers’ ward rounds carried out.

    Key Functions

    1. Receiving patients, registering admissions, discharges and deaths.
    2. Providing care during labour with emphasis on keeping proper records, use of drugs and prevention of complications to mother and baby.
    3. Providing care during puerperium with emphasis on prevention of infection.
    4. Sensitizing mothers about benefits of breast feeding and recommended diet.
    5. Participating in bedside nursing procedures as a member of the caring team.
    6. Participating in Doctors/Clinical officers ward rounds.
    7. Observing and compiling daily ward reports for the attention of the relevant authorities.
    8. Preparing patients for meals and participate in serving them.
    9. Maintain a clean and healthy environment for the patients.
    10. Carrying out Ante-natal care.
    11. Adhering to professional and ethical code of conduct.

     

    Requirements

    Person Specifications

      • Must have an Enrolled Midwifery Certificate from a recognized Institution.
      • Must be registered and licensed with the Nurses and Midwives Council.

      JOB ADVERT FOR MEAL OFFICER: TOGETHER PROJECT

       

      ADRA Uganda wishes to Recruit One (1) MEAL Officer for the TOGETHER Project.

       

      Location: Kitgum with work area covering Agago, Kitgum, Lamwo and Pader

       

      Job Objective:

      Responsible for  the execution and implementation of various activities within the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) function.   Provide general support to ensure smooth implementation of various planned activities and compliance with ADRA Uganda and donor requirement regarding reporting for all activities.

       

      Duties and Responsibilities

      1. Ensuring proper administering of M&E tools for the M&E Unit focusing on achieving the following results:
      2. Develop, implement, and assess monitoring frameworks for the TOGETHER project.
      3. Develop the overall framework for TOGETHER project M&E systems in collaboration with the project manager and other senior project staff, including requirements, reporting, baseline, and evaluation surveys; develop and monitor project management plan to systematically document performance.
      4. Ensure the alignment of M&E activities with program goals and ADRA Uganda
      5. Ensure adherence to specific monitoring and reporting requirements for GAC funded projects, including requirements related to Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation framework, Global Affairs Canada’s (GAC) Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP), as well as other requirements under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
      6. Contribute to the development of the Program implementation Plan (PIP), annual work plans and detailed implementation plans (DIPs) to identify project targets and ensure the inclusion of M&E activities.
      7. Develop and maintain indicator tracking tools; as well as databases and tracking tools as needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of project interventions.
      8. Analyze data for accuracy, flag validation or quality issues, and contribute to system fixes, management decision-making and reporting.
      9. Ensure timely development and submission of reports including progress reports including monthly and quarterly indicator performance reports for tracking progress against key indicators as needed.
      10. Conduct field visits for data validation and to monitor the quality and completeness of data sets; coordinate data collection at project sites to monitor program development and ensure timely compilation and reporting of data; capture and document lessons learned, and champion the scaling up best practices.
      11. Edit content and presentation of all reporting and deliverables before submission to ensure superior quality and professionalism.
      12. Design, initiate and facilitate productive, collaborative, respectful, and solutions-oriented community-level monitoring evaluation, accountability, and learning systems.
      13. Provide technical leadership and facilitate community monitoring teams in planning and implementing M&E systems and activities, evidence-based program decision-making, and results reporting; provide training as needed.
      14. Provide support in project communication to ensure that all stakeholders are informed on an ongoing basis about the project’s objectives and activities, overall project progress, and the opportunities for involvement in various aspects of the project’s implementation.
      15. Conduct engagement activities with local, regional, and national stakeholders for policy change and impacts on the ground.
      16. Support in reviewing and refining the organizational level monitoring evaluation accountability and learning framework, including training project staff on M&E and community-led monitoring evaluation and learning approaches.
      17. Support the development, design, and writing of proposals and concept notes for related programming information management and reporting. xvii. Perform other duties as deemed relevant to the assignment and advancement of the project objective by the supervisor.
      18. Ensure all project M&E tools are properly tagged or serialized for easy tracking/tracing.
      19. Participate in all TOGETHER Project planning meetings virtual and physical as will be agreed from time to time.
      20. Ensure and maintain clear data collection, analysis, upload and update plan.
      21. Ensuring proper filing of incoming and outgoing M&E documents of various activities within M&E Unit focusing on achieving the following results:
      22. Documents of various activities are well filed in chronological manner for easy retrieval and references.
      23. Provision of secretarial duties for M&E unit, e.g. photocopying and printing of M&E tools.
      24. Ensuring the provision of general assistance to the M&E Unit to ensure smooth execution and implementation of various activities of M&E unit focusing on achieving the following results:
      25. Providing assistance in organizing, arranging and scheduling of various activities within the M&E function.
      26. Assist in community sensitization and mobilization of various project activities aspects.
      27. Perform any other duties incidental thereto and/or a may be assigned by your supervisor.

      • Must be able to maintain highest level of confidentiality regarding work-related information and data.

       

       

      • Qualifications
        • Minimum qualification of a Post graduate Diploma in M&E, Development studies, social science, statistics preference to someone with strong applied knowledge of survey CTO or ODK or Telerivet
        • At least 3 years of professional experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting of projects and programs.
        • Excellent track-record in project management
        • Experience of field data collection and survey mechanism.
        • Computer literate and competent with Microsoft office and other data management systems, as required.
        • Should be able to fluently speak Acholi language
