Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, Uganda — A new milestone in strengthening food security and community resilience is taking place in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, where 550 direct beneficiaries of the GROW Together Project, implemented by ADRA Croatia, are receiving essential agricultural inputs to support sustainable farming and improve household food security.
The distribution of assorted agro-inputs is designed to help refugee households strengthen their agricultural livelihoods, increase food production and build greater resilience through sustainable farming practices.
The initiative is part of the broader GROW Together Project, which focuses on supporting communities with practical tools and opportunities to improve livelihoods and food security.

Supporting health through food assistance
Alongside the agricultural input distribution, food assistance donated last week by generous individual donors through ADRA Uganda is being delivered to Kyaka II Medical Center (ADRA Hospital).
The donated food will help support patient nutrition and contribute to the provision of health services at the medical centre, providing an important complement to ongoing medical care.
Strong partnerships for greater impact
The World Food Programme (WFP) was represented by the Kabarole Research and Resource Center (KRC) during both activities, highlighting the importance of coordination and partnership in responding to the needs of refugee communities.
By combining support for sustainable agriculture with assistance for health and nutrition, ADRA and its partners are helping communities address immediate needs while also investing in longer-term resilience.
The activities demonstrate what can be achieved when humanitarian assistance, livelihood support and strong local partnerships come together.
From farms to healthcare facilities, the goal is the same: to strengthen livelihoods, improve food security, support health and help communities build a more resilient future.
