PASSAGE PROJECT

The PASSAGE Project aims to empower vulnerable girls, boys, and their families, including those with disabilities, by enhancing their access to quality education, decent livelihoods, and nutritious food. Operating across Uganda, the project works with schools, communities, and local organizations to improve outcomes in education, health, and economic resilience. One primary objective is to support income generation and financial literacy among women and young mothers, helping them establish savings groups and access Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs). The project also promotes climate-smart agriculture and permaculture practices, enabling households to produce and consume nutritious food sustainably.

In education, the Project targets primary school completion and reduced dropout rates, particularly among girls and vulnerable children. By engaging school clubs, parent groups, and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), the project fosters a supportive learning environment while promoting gender-responsive leadership. Awareness sessions on rights and responsibilities further empower families to advocate for their needs and well-being. Through a robust monitoring and evaluation framework, the project tracks progress, identifies challenges, and adapts strategies to ensure long-term impact. Ultimately, the Passage Project is dedicated to creating resilient communities where children and families thrive and have the resources to secure a better future.
