ADRA Uganda Participates in the World Day of Prayer for Children at Risk at Kireka SDA Church

On Saturday, 23 May 2026, ADRA Uganda collaborated with Kireka Seventh-day Adventist Church during the World Day of Prayer for Children at Risk to show support, solidarity and highlight the plight of Children at Risk in Uganda. This was done through sharing a testimony and practical working experience ADRA has in dealing with Children at Risk in various projects in Uganda.

Following the end of school holidays, and children returning to school, again ADRA Uganda joined the Sabbath service in having a special focus on prayer for children and families. The ADRA Uganda Faith and Community Development manager, Pr. Samuel Kizito led prayers for blessings, protection, encouragement, and a strong start to the new school term (2nd term) 2026.

As one of the activities this very Sabbath, a consignment of 1,000 new re-usable sanitary pads was donated by the church through the support of Image Crusade Advertising Company to support girls’ education and help reduce barriers to school attendance of the young girls of Eastern Acholi region of Uganda in the Districts of Agago and Lamwo.

The event was held in a spirit of collaboration, service, unity, and hope for vulnerable children by Kireka SDA Town Church, Image Crusade Advertising Company and ADRA Uganda.
