CSIP
(CSIP) Community Support Initiative Program
The CSIP Funding Program, implemented by ADRA Uganda and funded by SIDA through ADRA Sweden, runs from January 2022 to September 2025. It is designed to strengthen ADRA Uganda’s institutional capacity and expand its operational reach. The program employs an Adaptive Outcome-Based Approach, which emphasizes measurable changes in behaviour, relationships, and actions of people, groups, and organizations, rather than merely focusing on the delivery of project outputs.
CSIP Funding supports the implementation of ADRA Uganda’s Country Strategy, which is built around six change goals. Under Change Goal 1, the program contributes to the design and delivery of high-quality interventions in education, health, livelihoods, gender, and social protection—core areas of ADRA’s community development work. Although Change Goal 2, which covers emergency interventions, is part of the broader strategy, it is not addressed under CSIP Funding, as SIDA does not provide for emergency responses.
The program further supports institutional sustainability and growth through Change Goal 3, by enhancing ADRA Uganda’s ability to mobilize resources and secure long-term funding. Change Goal 4 focuses on strengthening ADRA’s identity and effectiveness as a faith-based organization through collaboration with the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda. Additionally, the program invests in staff development (Change Goal 5), ensuring a professional, motivated, and capable workforce. Lastly, Change Goal 6 emphasizes building strategic relationships with stakeholders to foster mutual support and knowledge sharing.
Overall, the CSIP Funding Program is a foundational investment in ADRA Uganda’s organizational development. It enables the organization to improve the quality of its programming, increase its impact, and position itself as a more effective and resilient development partner in Uganda
