ADRA Uganda Distributes Solar-Powered Irrigation Systems to 120 Farmers in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement

On Friday 22nd, ADRA Uganda, through the RISE Project, successfully distributed four complete sets of solar-powered irrigation systems to four model farmer groups in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement.

The distribution exercise was followed by a practical training session for group representatives on the installation and operation of the systems to support irrigation within the block gardens.

A total of 120 beneficiaries (67 females and 53 males) from the groups in Sweswe Dam 1, Bwiriza, Kabologota, and Sweswe Dam 2 directly benefited from this initiative.

The beneficiaries expressed their sincere appreciation to the donor, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the generous support, which is expected to strengthen household food production, improve livelihoods, and enhance resilience within the communities.
