ASPIRE project funded by Norad/ADRA Norway
ADRA Uganda conducted a project monitoring and technical support visit to Bidibidi South Sudanese Refugee Settlement from 18–21 May 2025. The mission was conducted by a team from ADRA Uganda’s Main Office in Kampala, and ADRA Uganda was honoured by the participation of Board Member Dr. Rebeca Nambi during the field visit. The visit aimed to assess progress of ongoing interventions and provide technical guidance to field teams and beneficiary groups.
The team engaged with farmer groups, schools, vocational training groups, and processing centres, and held discussions with the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM). Field documentation and communication support activities were also undertaken during the visit.

Discussion at the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM)
Overall, the visit confirmed positive progress among the targeted groups both refugees and host communities mainly focusing on the following key project sectors/interventios: livelihoods, food security, school feeding, value addition, and adolescent girls’ empowerment. These interventions continue to contribute to improved resilience, and household incomes, increased school enrolment, enhanced resilience, and strengthened community participation among refugee and host communities.
The team also identified areas for further strengthening, particularly in technical support, documentation, and implementation capacity, in order to enhance efficiency and sustainability of interventions.
The mission reaffirmed the importance of continued collaboration with local stakeholders and community structures to ensure long-term impact and sustainability of project outcomes. ADRA Uganda also extends appreciation to the Yumbe field team for their commitment, coordination, and dedicated work in implementation of the project activities.
