Refugee Education Access Project (REAP) is funded by Latter Day Saints Charities through ADRA International. The project is targeting Rwamwanja Secondary School accommodating refugee students from Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Sudan/South Sudan and Somalia.

The project is to achieve increased Secondary School Education opportunities for Congolese Refugees and host community in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement, Kamwenge District, Western – Uganda.

This will be achieved by:
• Increasing enrollment and retention of Congolese refugee students through construction of boarding facilities for at least 150 students (70% girls), and one staff house
• Supporting 658 Congolese refugee students to catch up with Secondary Education in Uganda through provision of Intensive remedial lessons for English and French languages, and students’ guidance and counselling services
• Improve the students’ diet by supporting the school to supplement food aid with vegetable growing
